ICYMI: Bennet Calls Out Trump for Making Life Harder for American Families While Enriching Himself

Washington, D.C. — Last night, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet took to the Senate floor to call out President Trump for making life more expensive for American families while enriching himself and focusing on his own interests. Bennet also challenged Washington to offer a real alternative by tackling the problems driving Americans’ anxiety about their lives and their future.

Bennet pointed to rising gas and grocery prices, higher borrowing costs, and growing pressure on farmers and ranchers as evidence of an economy where too many Americans feel they cannot get ahead. He contrasted those challenges with a president focused on enriching himself, settling political scores, and weaponizing the federal government against Colorado and his political enemies, while challenging Congress to finally address the problems Americans have been asking Washington to solve for years.
